A Midsummer Night’s Dream

July 17 – July 29
(2 weeks)
Performances: July 28 & 29 at 7:00

“A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is one of the Shakespeare’s most beloved and beautiful plays, filled with romance and mischief, adventure and comedy. Under experienced guidance, actors will study the language, create the characters, and bring to life the young lovers, bumbling fools, and magical fairies of this enchanting classic.

Actors will be auditioned for their roles, and all actors will be cast. Participants will be involved in all aspects of rehearsal and full production – including training in the craft of acting, character development, stage combat, choreography, and special effects. For those actors with less experience, instruction in basic acting, character development, and theatre games are offered to develop their skills. Elements such as choreography and/or stage combat are introduced as necessary for the final production. Performances will take place the final weekend for an audience of the public, family, and friends.
