The advisor program is thoughtfully designed to provide a trusted adult to monitor and support a student’s social/emotional and academic growth. Touchpoints are strategically placed throughout the day to be certain that each student is seen and supported. Advisors are the primary contact between school and home to foster a healthy environment in which students will thrive.
Advisor groups are small by design to facilitate a safe space that allows for lessons and discussions that address the unique challenges that adolescent learners are facing. Lessons from Responsive Classroom Advisory Meetings focus on developing a healthy sense of self, problem-solving and conflict resolution, setting healthy boundaries, and being a positive, contributing member of the community.
