ILab- STEAM And SAILING CAMP (5th – 8th Grade)

Session Dates: TBD (2 week session: Monday – Friday) $720 Half Day 9am-1pm or     $820 Full Day 9am – 2:45pm

Through the hands-on process of combining science and engineering, campers will develop abilities to create design ideas and solutions to engineering problems focused around sailing and boat construction. Ideas will first be developed using cardboard, aluminum, duct tape before using the CAD computer design program to draw their model sailboat. The final project will be carved using our CNC router and 3- D printer to create some of the additional parts. Campers will also learn how to use our computer controlled vinyl cutter to design and produce additional elements to incorporate into the design. Throughout this creative process campers will develop their problem solving, research, collaboration and communication skills through their use and knowledge of technology. Students will also enjoy spending time participating in some outdoor games on our beautiful  2 acre campus.  Full day and Extended day students will also have the option to take daily trips to our on-campus pool with a certified lifeguard.
