Enrichment and S.T.E.A.M. Camps 2023

As always, our line-up will include options for various age groups and abilities ranging from Chess to Lego Robotics. Each camp is designed to stimulate curiosity and creativity. Our programs also develop talents and encourage personal growth.

This summer we are thrilled to offer:

Chess Camp and Lego Robotics Please see below for details including a description, dates and rates.

Weekly programs run for a half day 9am – 1pm daily or until 2:45pm for a full day.

Our Enrichment Camps are subject to enrollment and limited in size.

Due to these restrictions, many camps do fill-up quickly; interested participants are urged to register early.

Robotics: GameBots (For Children Entering 1st – 4th Grade)

Session Dates: TBD, $385/half day $445/full day

Campers will be challenged in fun ways that will captivate their interests and grow their technical skills. They will explore the world of robotics as they learn to build various models that teach the fundamentals of robotic design. They will develop their linear thinking and beginner coding skills while expanding their engineering abilities and creative problem-solving skills. With a partner they will use sensors, build and utilize simple machines, explore the utility of gears and axles, and use coding and engineering design to solve practical robotic challenges.

Chess Camp (For Children Entering 1st-8th Grade)

Session Dates: July 17 – July 21, $390/half day or $440/full day

CHESS MASTER CONNECTIONS returns partnering with St. Michael’s to offer a unique opportunity to learn, or, continue mastering, the game of chess. No matter what level you play, there is a place for you at our chess camp. We are thrilled to offer one week-long of chess camp with our local International Chess Master, Jorge Sammour-Hasbun and gifted colleagues.

Jorge has experience teaching gifted children nationally for more than 15 24 years. His resume includes U10 and U12 World Youth Chess Champion; 1996 U.S. Junior Champion; 2007, 2008 Dos Hermanas ICC Blitz Champion. Jorge and his partners are passionate about the game of chess and offer world-class chess instruction for beginners through advanced players.

Jorge states, “Chess camp will teach your child more than chess; your child will: increase logic and reasoning skills, improve decision-making skills, develop problem-solving skills, increase self-confidence, develop analytical thinking skills, improve organizational habits and increase patience and persistence.” Chess Master Connections is committed to “teaching the fundamentals of chess and developing a clear connection to real-life success.” Your child will feel the passion and power of chess!
