July 27 – August 7 (2 weeks) ~~ Performances August 7 and 8
“If music be the food of love, play on!” The opening lines of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Nightinvite us to a feast for the senses, filled with low pranks and high comedy, unrequited love, sublime poetry and unforgettable characters. Under experienced guidance, students will study the language, create the characters, and bring to life the fun-loving world of Illyria. Actors will be auditioned for their roles, and all actors will be cast. For those actors with less experience, instruction in basic acting, character development, and theatre games are offered to develop their skills. Elements such as choreography and/or stage combat are introduced as necessary for the final production. Performances will take place the final weekend for an audience of the public, family, and friends.
