STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) embraces the importance of design thinking in the creation of learning projects.  Training in STEAM prepares students for “designing” their work. From classroom projects to workplace strategies, there is both Science and Art to creating product. St. Michael’s students learn the importance of design structure in learning but also the power of personal voice and innovation.

The Rose Canepari Library serves as a resource for students and faculty. Diverse print and nonprint resources promote a love of good literature and to aid in research activities.

The Extended School Day (ESD) program is offered to all students who attend St. Michael’s and who require after-school care. It provides flexibility and convenience for parents, and allows students the chance to unwind with their friends. The ESD program is available to students from preschool through eighth grade and provides the children with activities, games, exercise, help with their homework, and a snack, in a safe and comfortable environment.

School Lunch

Good minds require good bodies, and good bodies require good food! St. Michael’s provides the option of ordering a hot lunch each day during the week.

Health & Wellness

Health Education: We believe strongly that our students must be healthy in their minds and bodies as well as in their academic life. Each grade-level at SMCDS has its own curricular program with regards to health and wellness.

Health Services: We offer wellness screenings and health services to our families. Our ultimate goal is to raise healthy, happy children, and by partnering with parents we can collaborate to accomplish both family and school-based goals!
