Once again, St. Michael’s has teamed up with Play Well TEKnologies to offer two lego camps that are sure to stir the imagination and creativity in our lego community! Campers will use motors, battery packs, gears, pulleys, etc. to create moving machines and vehicles. There will be no programming involved. Please note that these classes fill quickly and you are encouraged to register as early as possible.
Lego – Jedi Engineering( (for children entering 1st – 4th grade):July 10th – July 14th
The Force Awakens in this introductory engineering course for young Jedi! Explore engineering principles by designing and building projects such as LEGO® X-Wings, R2 Units, Energy Catapults, Defense Turrets, and Settlements from a galaxy far, far away. Create motorized and architectural projects with imagination and engineering to defeat the Empire! No prior experience necessary.
Lego S.T.E.M. Challenge Engineers: (for children entering 2nd – 6th grade) July 17th – July 21st
Power up your engineering skills with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer-designed projects such as Catapults, Pneumatic Cranes, Arch Bridges, and Battletracks! Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment. An experienced instructor will challenge new and returning students to engineer at the next level.
The fee for each week of Lego camp is $300.00 for half day and $350.00 for full day.
