Lower School Teachers
2018-2019 School Year

Due to increased enrollment, we are seeking experienced teachers for our Lower School which includes grades one through four. Candidates must have a good understanding of the social, emotional and developmental needs of children they will be working with and a passion for teaching that age group.

Candidates must demonstrate:

  • an ability to work collaboratively with colleagues;
  • strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • an understanding of, appreciation for, and commitment to 21st century learning skills;
  • an aptitude and commitment to technology.

Bachelor’s Degree is required.  Knowledge of guided reading, Responsive Classroom practices, project based learning, and Singapore math,  as well as, a masters degree is preferred.

Lead Preschool Teacher
2018-2019 School Year

We are seeking a lead preschool teacher with a degree in early childhood education and at least three years experience working with young children. Candidates must have an excellent understanding of the developmental needs of 2 to 4 year olds and demonstrate a passion for working with this age level.  Knowledge of Conscious Discipline and familiarity with Montessori materials is desirable.

Candidates must demonstrate:

  • plan and implement activities that nurture and develop the physical, emotional, intellectual and social skills of young children;
  • demonstrate the ability to observe children to assess their developmental level, interests and needs and use this information to facilitate learning and growth;
  • exhibit kindness, respect and compassion in all interactions with children, parents and colleagues;
  • communicate knowledgeably and effectively with parents and colleagues about students and curriculum.

Bachelor’s Degree is required.

Middle School Director
Grades 5-8
2018-2019 School Year

 

The school seeks an innovative educational leader who can work effectively with an outstanding, experienced faculty. The Middle School Director serves as a member of the school’s senior administrative team working closely alongside the Lower School Director and reporting directly to the Head of School. The Middle School Director is responsible for all aspects of the Middle School program.

Candidates must demonstrate:

  • A strong understanding of the cognitive and developmental needs of middle school students;
  • Leadership skills for students, faculty, and parents in an independent school setting;
  • An ability to work collaboratively with colleagues;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills;
  • An understanding of, appreciation for, and commitment to 21st century learning skills;
  • Development of a strong working relationship with an experienced middle school faculty and staff;
  • An ongoing personal commitment to professional development.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • An aptitude and commitment to technology.

Bachelor’s Degree and Teacher experience are required.  Advance degree is preferable.
