Earth Week is an opportunity to focus on protecting the Earth’s resources. During the week of April 23-27, St. Michael’s students will be learning about natural resources and taking action to make a positive difference in our community.
Monday April 23
All School Dress Down Day (wear the color green in honor of Earth Week)
All School Earth Week Kick-Off Assembly; 2:15-2:45 p.m.
Tuesday, April 24
Middle School Beach, Cliff Walk, and Campus clean-ups during science class.
All School Chalk Walk. Students will work together to decorate the path between the Mason House and Hill House with Earth Day messages that celebrate the beauty of nature.
Wednesday, April 25
All School Dress Down Day (wear the color blue in honor of Earth Week)
“Waste-Free” lunch: In an effort to bring awareness about excessive use of plastics and other disposable materials, students are encouraged to bring lunches in containers that can go home and be reused. Any trash that is generated will go home with the students. There will be no trash cans available and no use of the microwaves. Please note: There will be no lunch service on this day.
All School Outdoor Scavenger Hunt; 2:15-2:45 p.m.
Thursday, April 26
Lights off. In an effort to bring awareness of energy consumption and how it relates to our environment, we will keep all lights off for the day to conserve energy.
