Admission Process and Timeline
Congratulations on taking the first step towards exploring options for your child’s educational setting, and for investing time to decide what sort of community you want to partner with to help raise your child.
The admissions process at St. Michael’s is easy, comfortable, and customizable to fit your needs. Here are the traditional steps in the admissions process:
1. Parent Tour
Schedule a personal tour with Erin Schmidt, Director of Admissions, to view the school, learn about our offerings and see how your own child’s passions and interests can excel at St. Michael’s. Call 401-849-5970 to schedule a personal tour. We are holding a winter admissions event on Thursday, February 23 at 8:15 am.Learn More
Once you have a sense of the school’s program and mission, it’s time to have your child spend time visiting our school and being part of the classroom experience. If possible, we prefer to have students visit for two days, back to back. This allows us to get to know the applicant, and for the student to be as comfortable as possible in their new setting. We will pair your child with a “Buddy” for their day-long visit, which will make sure that your child’s visit will include a friend for the recess fields and lunch room, and that they have a built-in tour guide for their time on campus.
3. Submit the Application
At any point during the admissions process, you can complete an online application form, which consists of Student Information, Parent/Guardian information, a Parent Questionnaire, and a $50 application fee. Taking this step ensures that you are an official applicant for admission. You can link to the application form by clicking here: Application Form.
4. Submit the remaining application documents, including:
- Current school transcripts and related records
- Current teacher recommendation forms (these forms can be obtained from the Admission Office or downloaded here)
- Copies of any psychological and/or educational evaluations
5. Admissions Important Dates
