Do packet hand-out on Ionic and Covalent bonds
In class, we typed stories containing four special words: vote, ghoul, zulu, and tall. We read these stories out-loud, and then voted on which one we wanted to post on the Sub-Web. Nick won. Here is Nick’s Story.
The Adult Kid
Did you know the kid who almost got to vote? He was tall and looked like an adult. He used looking like an adult as an advantage. He got into scary movies and got a job. His best friend was named Zulu and his mom was friends with a guy who was the head of the voting. One day, they got to go to the voting stand, and as I said, he was very tall, so he snuck into the stand and got to vote when nobody was looking. When he tried to write down his vote, a ghoul popped out at him and he ran away never to use his height as an advantage again.

Girls B played an amazing game verses Rocky Hill on Monday the 20th!
Serena was in goal the whole game and didn’t let one goal in!!! Chloe, Carly, and Hope shared the job of guarding Rocky Hill’s lead scorer, and she never scored!
Hope, on fullback, was on fire at this game, defending the ball and turning the ball towards the outside of the field. On offense, Carly had a lot of shots on goal, but unfortunately none of them went in. Also on offense, Codi and Chloe had a few shots on goal and they both scored! Amelia, playing halfback, did a great job getting the ball up the field and to the forwards!
The final score was Rocky Hill-0 and SMS-2. Every single girl on the girls B team did a great job, and should be very pruod of their first win!

Though the Girls B team lost to Cluny, they played one of their best games. The whole team played really hard.
Serena and Ayah split gaurding the goal. Both goalies had to defend a penalty shot! Alexis, playing sweeper, also had a few scarey saves that were very close to goal.
On offense, Codi, Carly, and Amelia got close to the opposing team’s goal, but unfortunately, no goals were scored.
The ending score was Cluny 3 and SMS 0, but it was a good game, and everyone played with their heart.
