Quiz on all the vocabulary words we studied in class. Please use your handout for review.
To class, please bring your notebook and pencil. Be prepared to present your “Introduction Monologue.” Handout with details was distributed in class last Tuesday.
Read script, “A Christmas Carol.” Note all scene changes (i.e. Scrooge’s office, Fred’s house, etc.). List if they are interior or exterior scenes. Note any information in the script that describes the scene (dark, gloomy, bright, poor, wealthy, etc.). Bring to class on Thursday, Sept. 9. You may also want to bring in pictures from magazines or from the web with ideas for the set. You can also look online for pictures from this play or movie. Print or save to a disc to bring to class. This part is optional but would be very helpful in your design ideas.
Complete questions 5 and 6. Please note that question #6 asks for a “detailed description of clothing for both men and women.” Additionally, please include photos of the art requested in question #5.
On Monday morning, a check will be made to verify that every student has completed questions 1 – 6.
From your costume worksheet, answer question #2. Please make sure you give complete answers to all aspects of the question. DUE BEGINNING OF CLASS – TUESDAY – APRIL 20
For Friday – bring in one picture of an article of clothing worn during your time period. Also bring in information re an historical event that occurred during your assigned costume time period.
Please suggest “challenge characters” for each member of the class:

Bring in notebook (either 3-ring binder or notebook with pockets for handouts. Bring in one of the following: a sketch, photo from magazine, book, or on-line, dealing with set or costume design for How The Grinch Stole Christmas.
This year, the specials and arts teachers will also post their homework. The specials classes will have their homework appear for the correct grade. The arts classes have their own sections. Make sure you check those, as well as your other subjects, for homework assignments.
For art class next week please find a rock, small sticks, grass and/or charcoal, flowers and berries. What ever you can find in nature to paint with as though you were a person from the prehistoric times. Bring them in a baggie.

Now that we are back at school, start looking for homework assignments. Students and parents can search by grade or by subject in order to find information from their parents. Remember, however, that this site does not replace the need for assignment pads.
