19 Oct 2015 Beach Art Installation Awes Students and By-Standers
Easton’s (First) Beach provided the perfect venue and raw materials once again on Thursday, October 15 for the 10th annual Studio Art Beach Installation by middle school students at St. Michael’s Country Day School. The students in grades 5-8, Studio Art teachers Leslie Keohane and Robert Kalaidjian, and computer graphics teacher Steven Turilli, collaborated on the design and worked as a team to create the masterpiece using natural materials found on the beach or in the nearby surf. This year’s design involved the combination of pyramidal shapes in various sizes decorated with stones, sticks, shells, sea glass, seaweed, and grass.
